At sea? Irish CG say absolutely yes. If only to give you a few slaps back on shore

I'm not trying to keep this thread going , but do feel for the sake of RIBNET ( & KY) history it carries on ..........

Anyway , spoke to Falmouth again today who were as always very nice who sent me a nice email saying they have registered my PLB but ;

'Due to a large number of new registrations we are around 5 weeks + behind with sending out confirmation letters and labels, however until these are received please treat the attached as 'proof of registration'.

The labels show the HEX Id as well as the 24 hour contact telephone number for Falmouth Coastguard who have access to our database and are located in the same building as the Registry. Their number is +44 (01326) 317575, you may wish to note this down should you need to contact them in an emergency.'

So anyone not had thiers back this is probably why - they have also confirmed they will assume an PLB activation( registered or not) as an emergency & take appropriate action.

Pete

Some considerable resource has been put in at Falmouth to clear the backlog, so hopefully return times should already have started to shorten.
