Marine fuel filter Parker Racor 120R-RAC-01 versus Taiwan no-name. Adv. please

Hello,

My Highfield was assembly in Poland and I have Taiwan "no-name" fuel filter

Very popular in many internet boat shops in Poland.

A few months ago it was nice promotion in Parker Racor distributor in Poland and I bought Marine fuel filter "Parker Racor 120R-RAC-01".

I was going to replace current filter with this one today but when compared them Taiwan filter is 30-40% bigger than Racor :O

Is bigger better ? Left it as it is or replace to Parker filter ?
Parker stated that flow is 112 l / h which is 2 times more than max petrol consumption for my engine.

Your thoughts and experience is very welcome.

I think with something critical like fuel filters reliable is best and unfortunately Chinese isn't always reliable
Not sure about these specific filters but I have read of filters which pass inside therefore not filtering properly and others that are restricted internally
Not heard anything of the copy racor filters but I wouldn't fit one on my boat

Maciej, for the pennies (cents) you will save, it's not worth the risk or peace of mind. Etecs don't like poor fuel.

I suggest you to take a filter from moeller marine with water seperator case.
fuel filter flow rate match to evinrude is important. the filter in the photo is a taiwan made replica of moeller stay away.
moeller is cheeper than racor
if you own a e-tech always buy the best for fuel system

But I have bought already Parker Racor
Plus installed it already this weekend.

But it is smaller than this Taiwan stuff so I was a little surprised.

It's the quality of the filter media not size that matters 😊
