Marina Berthing
I'm considering putting my boat in a Marina for the next few weekends a couple of days at a time.
Can anyone recomend a Marina that has launching and retrieving facilities, secure berthing and is reasonably priced. All in the Southampton - Portsmouth area.
I'm going to speak to Northney and mercury Point over the next few days but wondered if anyone could recomend some other places.

I was in Haslar over the Trafalgar days last year and although the slip is tight its fine and the marina were really helpful people with a couple of problems I had over the time. Also the cafe does a great bacon butty in the morning..

Good idea, works well for us there. However a word of advise, check your insurance some policies don't cover "Trailered" boats in Marina's  unless they are notified of the fact. Also check what (if any) security arrangments are needed, like Locking to the pontoon.

If you use an MDL marina, make sure you join their cruising club. It’s completely free and you get every 7th night free.
Hythes a pretty good marina if you looking for one with a slip in Soton

!! could have swore he mentioned "reasonably priced" sort of rules out MDL then 
Based in the southwest, and a MDL "customer",but you do get good service and secure berthing, but at a price !!

They are a couple of pence more expensive per m than most, but if your going to visit MDL marinas 7 times or more they are a fair bit cheaper than the competition as a cruising club member.
My Outlook card saved me a fortune on a recent trip to the West Country. Free over nights and short stays at QAB/Torquay and MDL fuel + Outlook was much cheaper than everywhere else I looked (shame Torquay isn't MDL fuel)
