1 rescued, 2 missing according to Fal coastguard on Radio Cornwall a few mins ago.
The severe weather missed us in the end. Just had the rain.

I think we were lucky with our window of weather yesterday afternoon. There was still a fair breeze and fog up in Alderney when we left, but once past the Ecrehoes the sea flattened out and it was eerily calm. The rain also stopped which was nice, especially after suffering an hour of being battered by needles of water and poor vis.

I registered 31 knots at home last night. A very sharp rise and then fall of wind, most odd.
