Looks like you got out just in time, calm before the storm. Wind speed at the pierheads has gone from 1 knot to 20 knots and I just heard a mayday relay from Cross Corsen 35 knots by midnight

We're getting severe weather warnings for tonight here. I hauled out the SR this morning and tucked it away in the garage, rather than take a battering in the marina.

I got back in from Carteret a couple hours ago, the only boats left out there were our "hirsute" cousins seemingly blissfully unaware of whats coming
