Why is it a bit of a swizz ?

If people don't make a profit then they won't go to all the trouble of running a show. I should imagine this year it was profitless. Heavy rain made it a ghost show.
Maybe we should direct our angst at the companies that let the show space. They are obviously making a profit.

I went to the Excel boat show last year and found it interesting enough, I went in quite late in the day and only paid £10 to get in. As for getting onto one of the big boats for a look around I could not really see the point, they are amazing beasts I am sure but I won't be buying one so why bother?

I was more amazed at how the likes of Sunseeker set up their stands it must have been a monumental job.

I would certainly not bother making a special trip to go if I am in London whilst the show is on I will pop in for and hour or so at the end of the day.

Why do RIBex charge?
Yes but you would have to pay to go to the motor show if you wanted to see more than one car in the same place so isnít that the same thing

Is this the Kebab shop where you can have the meat wrapped in a Nan bread rather than the pitta bread most use, if it is then i'd highly recomend it as the last one i had was fantastic

Same thing applies; you shouldn't have to pay to look at loads of cars they are trying offload on you. Its a trade show.

I to can never make out why people will queue at a motor show to sit in a car that they could have looked at at the local dealer
Say a new range rover and then be talked to by some man or girl
from a promotion company who dose not know jack about the
car anyway
If some one is desperate to go on a boat they cant afford
then go to a marina and pretend to be a buyer believe me you will get swamped by saleman

I really like boat shows, not just for work - I look forward to them like mini holidays.

Having Earls Court back will be great (I hope!) I went as a young kid with my Dad and continued to go right up until it moved to poxy Excel. Certainly I shall go to both, it is interesting to see how Excel evolves.

The funny thing about the EC one though, I put myself down as an interested party as soon as the news broke, I have written emails and letters since asking for info and I have now emailed to ask about trade tickets. Guess what, no response. Wierd.

Still it is a great venue and I cannot wait to see how it works out.
