We had a special interest in a few purchases this year so we were well-motivated to spend time over the gadgets and gizmos for RIBs.
Because of the time of year and the location LBS is mainly landbased whereas there is a feeling of lots going on in the water at SBS. Everything seems more accessible here although there is still a feeling of spaciousness with wider aisles etc.
The pontoon focus is limited enough and it's so bloomin cold that no-one wants to hang around outside for too long.
Everything depends on why you're at the Show. Both shows offer pleasant browsing opportunities, special deals on various items from boating holidays to clothing, boats to chartplotters. You can even get your shoes polished with an incredible product as seen on Sky TV.
It's always great to see a familiar face or two and some peeps remembered their RIBnet fleeces (ours are in a crate somewhere
) which was really nice even if there were a few anorak jokes
Bottom line...for engines and anything smaller for us as ribsters we would find LBS very helpful. If we were checking out various RIB makes...well you can't beat the 'try out' opportunities at SBS.
