I think taking it all into account its not worth pursuing.
I'd personally write the money off as a bad job.

I think the Judge has fallen asleep at the bench .. the public gallery has emptied .. the press have gone home .. the witness box has no one in it .. will this trial ever be concluded ?

did it ever have a point? would it ever have been conclusive? would the problem have suddenly rectified itself?

I think it may have been that time of the month for him, you know when the sheep are been sheared and aren't free to roam the hills, he gets agitated.

The Yacht Club have decided they won't pay no matter how high, I take it.

I will pay the kids and the yacht club can do without any of my friends for safety boats next year.

Well done , at least some people still have some morals & act in good faith - unlike the club in question !

Next time they need help or a tow I'd insist in claiming costs from them to prove a point !

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. Makes me wonder if the people running the club today are the same old fossils that were running it forty odd years ago.

Yes, and they'll tell their friends and so on, and everyone in the village ought to know they don't keep to deals and their word too. Who else are they going to cheat?

Some questions about this occur to me.

1. Did the father tell the club he would be bringing his kids along? And would they pay the kids? Or did he "hide" that fact?
or
2. When he turned up for payment were his kids with him? They looked up, pointed to the kids and said "We are not paying for them" or (and this is question 3) did someone comment, during the week, say to a committee member, "See that bloke over there with his kids? I hope he isnt expecting us to pay for them too".

Lets see what the replies are before coomenting further.

They had no pressure of RIB.net, I just wanted to see what peoples comments/thoughts were.
