Lifters vs trim tabs?

I was wondering which was better?
I guess the lifters are much larger
and smart tabs auto adjust?
which would provide better performance?

fyi I have a 15hp powered 310 RIB

A lifter is the same as a Jack plate over here - may be different in the States though! A jack plate actually lifts the whole engine up and down - do you mean trim tabs and smart tabs? If so it would depend on the application and there is quite a bit on here on different threads - if you use the search function you may find the information you're looking for!

I use lifters and they're great! I don't know how they compare to lifters but these are great! They put me on plane VERY quickly and allow me to cruise slow without coming off plane. It would be nice to have adjustable ones because there's some trial and error adjusting that need be done. There are three adjustments you can make on the trim tab and two on the top of the strut. If you angle them too far down (depending on your trim and weight distribution) you can affect your ride adversely. I think I've found the sweet spot.
