Has anyone seen those new 'combat vest style' lifejackets. I saw them at the London show & would like to get hold of two in black. Any ideas on who supplys them, im sure it was someone in the west country. Have looked on line but no luck.......

These look very impressive.

http://www.englands1.com/system/index.html

Good videos of the product being tested - 6x .44magnum rounds and a high velocity rifle round and the lifejacket STILL works!!!

NOTE - website only works in IE - possibly newer versions of firefox.

Life jackets

No, they are mesh across the back & shoulders with a normal Manual hydrostatic life jacket incorperated into the front & fasten with a single plastic push clip at the front (the same clip as on an impact vest you would ware on a jet ski). Hard to discribe really but extreamly cool looking, just wish id brought two at the london show.....but Ribcraft cleaned me out!

Looks a promising product ( military version) However their ballistic data is a load of BS. 9mm velocity is less that 50% of muzzle vel. there is no way that even a ceramic( usually boron carbide) insert will stop a 30-06 AP. Also, the AK 47 round ( 7.62 39) is not a high velocty round; only about 2500 fps.
Mostly avertising crap with associated bimbos.

Wont stop a speeding bullet but rather useful if you fall over the side.
