yep, I saw that too.
He was looking to sell some time ago, 12 months maybe, but saw a new advert out a week or two ago, although I forget where now.

Here you go:

"Leeway ribs have been in production for the last 8 years with great success and great reviews.

We have a full range of rib sizes from 2.5m right up to 10.3m and lots of different deck layout configuration mouldings for all needs including cabin mould and several console designs.

Included in the sale of this successful business are all moulds, plugs, design rights, websites, brand name with builders rights and world wide production rights and world wide sales. We have dealers around the world and have ever increasing inquires and opportunity to even sell licensing rights world wide? all this for a steel at only £60,000

Send a message via MSN to Zippy
how appropriate to demonstrate spelling skills in the advert, not to mention the word "steel" or i suspect what should have been "steal" considering everything that has been written about Leeway build practices!

£60K

sure due diligence will dig up some interesting questions to be answered.

What an unpleasant, damaging and snide post.

Someone spends 8 years building up a successful business and then decides to sell it and you then try and trash it. What the hell has the vendor's spelling ability got to do with it? And just because you've read some forum chat about his business you start talking about due dilligence and theft.
Hang you head in shame...

I beg to differ I do know what I'm talking about. Would you like me to post a tale about a 30 ft scarab that had obviously been turned over. Have pics of it in your yard and a receipt from you for it

Yes please do send me pictures. Leewaycomposites@onwight.net

pictures should be funny as you clearly don't know what your talking about.

You may well of bought a scarab from our yard as lots of used boats pass through. Especially as we used to do boat storage lol

why would i send the pic's to your email, might as well put them on here, are you saying this wasn't yours, you didn't sell it and it wasn't used as a plug.
you can choose your words as carefully as you like, you are still digging a large hole for yourself, if it's a toss up between who believes who, you'll lose

Another "Rib Warden" busily patrolling with a clip board poking his nose into other peoples business.

Some old hull next to some corrugated iron. A sign that I see has been carefully removed from the photographs. Proves nothing.

Let the guy make a sale and benefit from his hard work in building a business.

Petty jealousy is so typical of your type.

Timw, I would agree with you on the "Rib Warden" if it was people spouting random unprovable opinions.

Seems Biffer has specific claims, and "appears" to have some degree of weight to the claims.

None of us know what has or hasn't happened apart from the persons involved. You sticking in your oar does nothing but add fuel the fire.

As to other peoples business as soon as anyone puts things into the Public domain (by advertising on B&O) then its no longer Private.

The original post regarding due diligence which sparked your interest, says nothing but, "do your own homework". If someone is thinking about buying, any one who spends 60k with out doing there own homework is not going to be bothered by a post on a forum. You getting involved, only keeps the thread alive, if your were concerned about the sale you would let sleeping dogs lie.

You lads are feeding the troll again and it loves it....

And as for hassling Leeway - I'm surprised at you all!
Surely a clean yard is the mark of a clean conscience?

you have know idea of my type, i picture may not prove anything but there is also a bill of sale to go with the boat, you haven't seen any words about property rights or weather he own's the rights to all his mouldings.
if he can provide these i'll post a big SORRY, what i'm getting at, anyone who buy's this without the rights is just buying a heap of grp you can't use.
i'm not jealous of anybody making a buck, but taking someones hardearned and suppling what could be a whole loasd of trouble is something else
