Actually, I don't think that's the reason.

You came onto the forums to publicise your RIBs, claiming that the hull design was all your own work. It turned out that you weren't telling the truth, and you had splashed an existing hull design. Some people don't seem to mind being lied to, others take offence.

I have no doubt that any other company, large or small, would get exactly the same treatment that you have.

John

Oh well no sleep lost here. please dont call me mate as im no mate of yours.

Would almost be funny, if for one second, I thought you had the knowledge and skill to take an accurate copy, as it is, your work is so feckin shoddy, that appealing to the 'Skoda' market is all you can do.

The 'Super Estelle' by Leeway Fibs, "Simple composites, from a simple LIAR"

See ya 'Mate'.

my work is fare from shoddy (as you call it). i have been making ribs for over five years. i have never had anyone ever complain. i have 100% satisfaction from every customer. so how you can you tell me i do shoddy work? I think you are the jerk not me. oh i have made moulds for the MERCEDES BENZ SLR MCLAREN so i am more than capbleble of building a boat

Because I've looked at one with my own eyes.

BTW, Falcon have been making boats for a lot longer than five years.

They don't seem to have learned much either.

Similar market I guess.

I have been making boats for longer than five years as well. i build to the full ISO standards to comply to the rcd which is a reason why i would buy British and not foreign. but if people out there want to buy a boat built in a cheap country to no standards then that is there choice.

to post a pic of a piece of sh*t some other company has made just makes you look even more of a jerk as this thread is for leeway.

Jerry! Jerry!
I'll just sit back and enjoy the popcorn.

No but seriously, I think we get the point here, and as a whole on the "Leeway" subject.

1. You don't like "his" work/design.
2. I'm sure he offers a nice product for a certain market.
3. The product in the end is still what it was set out to be, a RIB.

That some people's opinion is that the hull design was stolen doesn't change the product does it?

Why lower yourself and start calling eachother names like "Jerk" and so forth?
Also, going down to build quality, I haven't actually seen one for myself, but I'm sure that if the quality was shoddy, he wouldn't have the customers.

At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion I suppose, but why not give it a rest. Your points have been made and noted.
