Launching at Bude

Hi all

I am renting a house in Bude this summer, and I was wondering if it was worth taking the RIB. Does anyone know what the launching is like there?

Thanks

Jon

Yeah, I have checked out boatlaunch thanks. Any first hand experience? Boatlaunch info is a bit thin, no photo etc. It looks very tidally constrained?

It is - big style. You can launch 2 hours one side of high water to about 2 hours the other. However if the surf is in that window ca change and boy can it be fun nearly flipped one boat there lastyear

We actually use Port Gaverne, a little further down the coast but with a 4x4 you can launch at any state of the tide and you are in easy reach of Padstow. Not really any other options along here. YOu can use Instow or Appledore a bitfurther North.

Feel free to drp me a pm if you want to know much else from around here.
