Lancashire Launching

Happy New Year Everyone!

I normally boat on the south coast, or Beaumaris - but I want to try something new, local and safe - perhaps some river cruising in the next few days, so cant guarantee the weather.

As this would be a day trip I wanted something local, and I have been looking on Boat Launch and I am looking at perhaps:

Fleetwood and Wyre River.

or

Lytham and Ribble Estuary / River Douglas

Anyone have any recent experience with these? I have a 4x4 and a 6.5mtr so need something that is suitable.

Try Knott End (near Fleetwood) instead.

I've launched a 6.7m Delta behind a golf there but make sure you have a look on YouTube on how to launch!

I go in a bit deeper than this video mind you -

I have to float mine off the trailer, I cant push it as its to heavy.. When I went I was stupid and didnt check the tides, and it was high tide, but looks gradual - so I would have to go in deep / use a line.

Our home patch.
Couldnt reply to the post earlier as been at sea and ribnet wouldnt let me log in on the boat for some reason.
there are some big boats that go over the side at K.E. Mate of mine launches solo or with SWMBO help a 24ft cruiser with inboard diesel over the side and recovers back over the side using an electric winch on the trailer. Never gets the trailer wheels wet.
PM me if you're thinking of going again and want some info.
