Perhaps Powerboat and RIB can influence the market in these areas.
There is a killcord fitted but it is conveniently clipped back onto itself Completely agree this is unacceptable. Zodiac, clearly the biggest player in inflatable boats has recently started adorning its bikini clad babes with little pouch life jackets. Not sure what good they would do when you're unconcious in the water. The man driving usually wears a normal one though

Erm, perhaps it's fitted with a wireless kill cord.

Also, what's so special about twins?

No way of knowing from images re wireless, would be good to think they had fitted that system, but looking at how his ladies were hanging on and no lifejackets safety was not at the forefront of sales techniique. My point being how sales and manufacturers show these images to sell boats when we know that video is an accident waiting to occur.

Guess I am sick of hearing about injuries and death from RIBS when maybe we could easily reduce the figures. (No issue with twins- hoped one kill cord would be visible to shut them down)

I agree, manufacturers and boating magazines should be seen to be promoting safety by highly visible kill cords and lifejackets in pictures and videos that they release. We all know the benefits of those items but the person new to ribbing will get mislead by these images / videos into thinking that these items are not really necessary.

The manufacturers and boating magazines have far more power and influence in promoting or rubbishing lifejackets and kill cords than the rest of us.
