"Kill cord" Clip to cord through the D then form the triangle and use a smarter font for kill cord. A brand or range with D rings to clip them to for existing sailing companies? Who knows.

I like it. A brand though definitely.

I see this as educating and raising awareness to those that would listen/ask what it is. Not to scare idiots who would ignore everything.

Is that with reference to mine? If yes I can get to work. Give me an idea of what you think smarter fonts are.
Triangle from coil no problem.
Is this the base you want to start from? ( not for everything, just for this idea )

Why not? They are the biggest, most visible problem.

Branding is all very well, but it doesn't spread a message unless the target understands the brand image.

While I'm quite happy to explain to someone who asks, people 'don't like to ask' or think it doesnt apply to them.

I like Mr P's triangle image as a brand logo on the left breast.

Something else is needed for the back though, where it's visible and unobstructed as you walk down the street and is mostly unobstructed by a lifejacket if you're just wearing a t-shirt on the water

Not 100% sure about the Cobra connoitations though.

I do too, I was just wondering if someone might make the wrong connection/get the wrong idea.

Let's keep in plain and obvious in a warning sign style. Snakes and stuff just confuse the issue.

Personally not sure on the Cobra idea. It has made me sit up and think. New kill cord has been fitted to our Cobra this week. So very sad for all involved. Lets hope some good comes out of this tragedy. I for one will be happy to support any ideas that are put forward. Ribnet cruise on Sunday round IOW. I for one will take a moment to remember a fellow RIB skipper and his family that paid the ultimate price whether he was at fault or not.

Re the cobra thing, initially meant to represent coiled cord. Then the clip/head thing kicked in. Finally, let's not forget what bow this whole thing started...... no harm with that, even a little respect methinks.

Much as it grieves me but I do agree with
Mollers in that we have to keep this simple and hon the topic. That is the Kill Cord otherwise people do get confused Sorry I just think if we are going to do this it has to be on the button!!

Red triangle is good (maybe made of kill cord?) - we all know it's a warning. The Kill Cord, despite having "kill" in the name is a good thing, so perhaps no snakes?

Kill Cord in the triangle with Clip it on! underneath?

That takes in a lot of the ideas suggested above. BTW - the word "Kill" in a logo is going to get attention in itself. Non boaters will ask what it means. Any boat user will recognise the name and image. The concept translates well into stickers, clothing and signage.

I like a prop being in there.
How about a prop in a Killcord triangle with wording?

How about something simple. Attached for an example with the actual cord being cliped to the 'd' and attached to the top of the 'tick'
Only a suggestion to try and bring it back to simple and real.

KILL CORD

YES (TICK HERE)

SORRY MY GRAPHIC WOULD NOT LOAD
