Keeping stuff dry...........

I'm not expecting much room for the inevitable kitchen sink - that SWMBO will no doubt want"need"(!!) to bring so what do you use to put spare clothes in - this time of year ? The "drybags" ? If no room in any lockers - a couple of bungys to strap them down somewhere?

Can't help thinking there must be a better way?

- all ideas/experiences welcome!

Drysacks are good, especially if you can fit them in a seat pod or locker. Otherwise, you could do the clasp up around a seat backrest frame.

How'd you stop that Spanner from sliding off the table whilst underway?

Drysacks it is then - no quarry tiles, shagpile or underfloor heating - cabin rib or not!

We gaffer tape the lids on plastic storage boxes full of food on Scillies trips. Other than that, drybags. Don't be tempted with cheap drybags, crewsaver are good.

Peli cases are great if you got important stuff to keep dry.

Pretty much "me" proof, as used by miltary and camel trophy.

If you don't have room you can throw them overboard and tow them.

Lifetime warranty, you damage it they replace it.

Look at their website for extreme photo shots. I use one as a stair to get in boat when it's on trailer! 150 kg me standing on it!

Are Peli cases worth anything on the second hand market?

I have a bright Yellow large grief case size one in the loft that I don't use, but have always thought it would come in handy one day.

Depending on what it's worth I might be looking to offload it.

Nasher.

Nasher - much as I'd like to score a bargain off you - I'd suggest a look on fleabay - they make a mint.

Which "model" is it?

I've no idea what model it is, just that it's bright yellow with the vent valve etc.

It's buried in the loft, and as the kids have just gone to bed I'd rather not go digging around up there tonight.

I'll drag it out tomorrow evening and have a better look.

Nasher.

yea - they worth a bit, lifetime warranty on them so even if broke still have value, more value if you get replacement.....

Brief case size is prob. the 1500 model,

http://www.peliproducts.co.uk/cases/1500.html

I store my GPS radios etc in my 1500, then use on boat for stuff I want to keep dry.

I see video of a car driving on to the cases as ramps.

'Clampetts'! At least we're not ribbing on acid with psychadelic Geckos and jigsaw pieces slapped all over the tubes.
