Got to be honest I don't think I would go for the Verado though - just too heavy and complex - Etec 250 I would go for - unless you REALLY want another 25hp and then with the weight difference what are you gaining???

Unless of course Cougar happen to be doing good deals on the Verado???

Round the island race

My folks live by St Catherines point and the powerboat race is impressive - 70 sounds pleasingly swift in a rib but what sort of speeds are those raceboats pulling?

Around 8 weeks time I think. Still not made the final decision regarding engine, but Verado 275 looking most likely.
