RIBase
I had the pleasure today to meet the Jolly Sailor and crew just off Start Point this morning and follow them into Dartmouth.
We lunched at "Al Fresco" and Egbert did the tourist bit with his camera around the town.
Loads of ribsters came over and wished Alan, Clive and Egbert all the best, and we left harbour to applause from the "cogniscenti".
Over to Torbay in the late afternoon where they feted by the MDL marina staff and many others.
They should leave early in the morning bound for Weymouth, once again in the blistering heat that we are "enjoying" at the moment, and good luck to them on there continuing triumphal tour of Englands south coast.
Have a good time in Pompey lads and have one for me!

Hi Andre & Mike,

No I have not won the lottery yet, crewing for Paul Webb on his boat, while he hosts the media people.

I thought it would be nice for Joyce to go on a Big Boat & see how the other half live.

I hope you will have some of your special brew with you as I will be able to taste it properly

Will phone you later tonite on mobile. see you all on Saturday.

Cheers

My thanks to all of you who have responded, who said ribster's couldn't organise a p*%* up in a Brewery.

I look forward to putting a lot of new faces to names.

See you Tommorow.

With Thanks to All Ribnet users.

Web Cam View

I've just watched Jolly Sailor and her escort arriving in Portsmouth via a web cam. To view go to: http://62.49.203.250/harboureye/newsbrand.htm. Then click on 'Live Archive', click on box marked 'Calendar', click '2003', click 'August', click '09', finally click '13.29'.
What a sight!

Thanks Louise!

Thanks Louise. It was nice to actually see a bit of it "live".

Does anyone know if there is any footage of the actual arrival at the wharf? I'd love to see it. Alternatively, please email me some pictures at lovey123@shaw.ca

Deana, I had Alan Jenkins from Portsmouth TV on board filming the arrival and they had a second camera on the jetty at Gunwharf. There should be some excellent footage whilst we waited at the fort and then the arrival in Portsmouth. Perhaps JK could have a chat to Alan ref putting the highlights on Ribnet for all to view.

I have e mailed Alans mobile to JK.

Pete
