ribsforsale.com Feedback Request Not Working!

If you are looking at JBT Marine / I wouldn't bother filling out their "I'm interested in this boat" feedback request.
Stupidly, I thought they were just inefficient at responding. It turned out to be their new website. After two weeks I sent an email directly and got this response:
"Thanks for your email and sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we have had a few issues with our new website platform getting enquiries over to us."

I bought my rib from them, absolutely first class.

Worth calling and ask for Jeremy, he will get the site fixed I'm sure.

If they set themselves up with a new website they should ensure it's bullet proof. As the saying goes "you only get one chance to make a first impression". I will not be bothering with their boats in future. Unfortunately I missed out on a boat that was of interest to me. I'm a cash buyer, with funds in place, ready to buy but with a low tolerance of things that don't work!

I would agree with Xk59D. I too bought my Ballistic from them and Jeremy was very helpful through it all. Website upgrades can sometimes go awry - just look at the TSB! Give them another chance.

I should have added, his phone number is 02392 397 000 or 07795 662 522. I just happen to be sat at my desk with his business card in my hand!

You can also email jeremy@ribsforsale.com

Give Jeremy a call, one of the good guys, I know they have had problems with their website and he is on it. It isn't in their interests to have it knackered after all!

More positive feedback about them here too. They've bent over backwards for me before. I would give them a second chance.

Your loss and theirs, maybe.

Funny really when you think about it. Making a decision based on something like this when arguably whilst it can portray a poor image its just really not that important when it comes to a final decision and if you did a more complete due diligence you would realise that. I think your probably the one that's lost out here.

Have you really not come across other IT issues prior to your retirement? How did you ever manage before the internet, did you never call anyone? But now it's the end of your world?

Personally I think this sounding off is the bad side of the internet, and we're all familiar with the negative impact things like trip advisor can have.

You have motivated me to actually now go and make a positive statement about them elsewhere as personally I'd recommend then from a large number of experiences albeit a few years ago now. The mayority of my experiences demonstrated to me they are up their with the best.

That said, hope you find what your looking for. Boating should be fun and hopefully when your back on the water you'll be more chilled out.

Nowadays people prefer to buy stuff use Internet ONLY !!!

Look at pictures, click on website ...

I think that for cars/boats still verbal conversation with experience person is more valuable than 1000 pictures on the web. To explain requirements.

I saw few movies made by JBT on YT - great stuff.

I think that boat fulfills all requirements is more important than great website. Why not drop email or message via FB (if they have any)

I bought my first RIB from them. They were excellent. As a newbie I wasn't exactly sure which RIB I wanted, but they were happy to take me out for a short burst on a couple they had for sale, and I ended up buying the second one.

Everywhere else was a standard "put a deposit down on the boat then you can have a sea trial", the assumption being that you knew what you wanted up front, and seemed to have a preconception that a newcomer like myself would be a waste of time. JBT were fantastic, and I ended up keeping the boat in their associated drystack for a few years.

Have moved on to a bigger hardboat now, but was a brilliant entry into boat ownership.

[emoji1] the irony of a knee jerk aggressive response to losing out on a quality boat ending up in great publicity.
