Well I have just completed my first year of having a rib and first time of even going on one .
Where do you start

Pb2 course Wales
Chris and gang showing us the ropes on the winter nacho run
Going from whitby to staithes
Taking it on a ferry to Guernsey and exploring herm , sark
Catching first lobster on Jura
Going into Fingals cave
Seeing Dolphins off Mull

Reluctantly joining my first forum sight . Then realising that I could not have done any of the above and more without a lot of sound advice and help with a bit of piss taking chucked in

Thanks all

Mid life crisis is continuing into getting a campervan to give us more flexibility . So who knows .

I think the west coast of Scotland will drag us up there at least once . Wouldn't mind sussing out Anglessey at some point .

Crammed a lot of new knowledge into a small brain in one year but embarrassingly still have not done any radio course so I think that needs to be on my agenda .

It's not over until the next season starts...
Grab your drysuit, some thermals and a Gecko, then MAN UP!

Steve, Anglesey is a must. Let me know if you want a nav.
Depending when you go, I may or may not have a boat - on the look out for a Ribcraft 4.8 at the moment.

Dry suit ?
Thermals ?
Gecko

I was thinking of putting on my thicker work socks and possibly an extra jumper .. man up

It could be a good chance to kill two birds with one stone , you show us the waters and you can see what the ribcraft 4.8m is like if you haven't already .

Ribcraft is without doubt the best boat I have had !!

Season has had a sunny ending! This was the end if ours, pulled out today. :-(

Highlight was the Mac ROund Anglesey charging up the Strait turning it white!

Like SteveDonna, this has been my first season with a rib, having converted from sticks and string.

Highlights:

First run in SR5.4 after the winter refurb
Round Anglesey for Macmillan event
Round Isle of Wight for Macmillan
Two glorious weeks in Scotland, Loch Sunart, Tobermory, Loch Lomond eating the freshest, tastiest hand-dived scallops
A recent trip down to Bardsey Island where the wildlife put on a spectacular show

But the highlight of the lot has to be the privilege of watching an otter and a heron share a rock whilst they eat their tea, at dusk, in Resipole.

Its been another good season for me (well we don't really stop to be honest so I suppose this is a so far list for me). Highlights include;
  • The Great River Race,
  • The London Kayakathon,
  • Round the Isle of Wight,
  • Source to Sea Relay on the River Thames and
  • Sail Royal Greenwich with the Gloriana and the Tall Ships.

This was our last day out on the boat last week (I'm assuming) waterskiing for the only the second time, around Studland Bay. A fab end to the summer.
