Great looking wheel - but no details on the Hypro website. If anyone has any luck sourcing one I'd be interested to hear where from - thanks

They catalogue it as an "equidistant steering wheel", model no: 71, part no: HM3743 for the polished spokes/carbon, or part no: HM3472 for the blackspokes/carbon. rrp is around 105 plus the dreaded.

Here is a picture of the wheel chosen, and a "before" picture of the dash.

It must be one heck of a hull. 75mph is 65knts, I'm getting just under 50knts from a 7m boat with only 50hp less with an Etec which is a lighter 2st. Admittedly, I'm not propped for out and out top end

A friend of mine has just taken delivery of a Vipermax/200 Etec. After driving it around the islands it is truly a fantastic sea keeping rib. It was very stable at speed and very comfortable to drive. The Cougar really is more of a "race style" rib.

It might need a bit more than 'style' to achieve an extra 15knts.

Nice boat,

I looked at the used boats on their site, too. I think that one used to belong to someone who posted on this site once.
In any event, have fun with it, and watch the rocks around Sark!

Rereading

my last post, it occurred to me that you might think that I implied that your boat was used. Not the case, I meant that one of the used boats I saw on the Cougar site site belonged to someone who used to post here.

Yes the used R8 on the Cougar site belongs to Magnum.

Magnum?

Why is he selling it? It doesn't seem to have been used much. Were you not interested in it? It must cost less than yours, or did it have the wrong specs?

Questions, Questions..............
I did enquire about it, and it was offered to me at a good price. I spoke to Cougar and with a VAT free sale and a 300 verado a new one came out at a "similar" price. It also did not have an A frame, which I wanted for wakeboarding.

What does Magnum care? He's so loaded I'm surprised he didn't give it away in free raffle at his local boozer.

Thanks Tony,

Let me know how you find the Cougar as I am still looking for a good boat to mess around between Gsy and Sark.
