Its comming.....
After an eternity of waiting, my rib is starting to take shape.
Here is what I ordered :
Cougar R8 Sport.
Custom Yellow/Black Tubes
Mercury Verado 300
Garmin 5015
Navman 7200 VHF
Flexi teak decking
Carbon Dash
I am still not sure on the VHF and Plotter so I am open to suggestions.

that looks loverly!!!!!
as for the plotter, i am a convert to Raymarine kit now. used it on our boat and its so easy to get used to and easy to read quickly.
given the speed of your boat reading quickly may be important!!

We had a Raymarine on the Scorpion and I fancied a change..The Garmin comes in a 15" flavour...

Wow that is one gorgeous RIB Tony! Very envious!! Post some more pics when it's complete.
I too like Raymarine kit but I think the Geonav plotters are better made ( http://www.geonav.it/home-english.html) ...And use the same charts as Raymarine.
Never used Garmin so cannot comment on their products.

i really like the look of those Cougars. what speed are you hoping to acheive with the 300 verado? They're big outboards.

Tony, nice rib indeed. as you are having the Verado 300 why not go for the Northstar M121 then connect the Smartcraft vessel viewer using the Smartcraft Gateway to the M121 . The engine management system can then be viewed on the M121 as well. It is also a very good chartplotter as I have the same on my rib

I would echo what Andre has suggested, the Northstar/Navman kit is very easy to use and when linked to the Mercury/Mariner engines give some very good info.
I have the Navman 8084 and as long as I remain with these engines, would not go anywhere else.
Nice colour scheme by the way

Hypro supply a wheel that is carbon fibre effect, but has a soft feel to it and they look great as well.
I would echo the thoughts about the Navman stuff - you get lots of fuel / distance info as well, so you know your range and how much fuel you need to get somewhere at your present throttle setting, easy to use too!

That is a fantastic wheel....
Delays were blamed on Shipping from the states, and when the Rib arrived 3 weeks ago there was a problem with the tubes, so they have to be replaced.. 
New date is September 19th..
