No, called off the search overnight yesterday and resumed today, now off again, problem being a lot of locals/friends are trying to organise searches including some through the night which obviously the police are trying to deter. You can understand them needing to o something but as we know its best left to the professionals, else they'll end up taking resources away from the main search

My understanding is the alarm wasn't raised right away, with the group waiting until the ferry docked thinking he'd swam ashore, added to that drink, water temp etc and its not looking good at all. Very sad all round. Can only hope tomorrow brings better news for the family

And to cap it all I heard on Radio 2 this morning that someone has come up with the brilliant idea of making 999 a premium rate number! What happens if you don't have any money handy or a card or whatever at a phone box? what about the number of people that are put off genuine emergencies - I could go on!
