Notice you mentioned low on power front you would be better having the deisel instead of a 150 on that size boat i have new 150 2 stroke fict goes great but would with 785 rib ?

Just to add my bit, My 6.5 Vipermax is nice with the 150 Opti, but I wouldn't want to go any smaller. Again, a lot of it comes down to props. I run a 19P which gives 42knts and an instant pull out. I'm looking at also having a 21P for cruising. Personally I would find a 150 on a 7.85m rib a bit under powered. In order to acheive 45knts you'd have to run a 22P or poss 23P prop. It would, I guess, then stuggle to get onto the plane with a few people onboard. But, as mentioned, give it a run. Maybe with a couple of mates onboard.

Can anyone give a props for dummies guide...

Obviously speed looses acceleration power. However, does the steeper prop give better cruising efficiency once on the place? Does it greatly effect troll speed and how about load on the engine? As before my opti revs to max of 5200.
