We are currently in the middle of sorting out a production deal for our different RIBs and the company we are dealing with have other models, one of which would be suitable - if you want to email me with as much detail as to your perfect boat I'm sure we can work something out - cookee@bananasharkracing.com or call me on 07836 268747 for a chat!

Yes, option 3 would look rather nice draped over just about anything.

Cookee, I'll ping you a mail.

Yep, we've got one (265 Hp) in our hard boat and I'm very impressed with it. Bags of torque, very compact and very quiet. I'd certainly seriously consider one if I was going for an inboard rib.

We also love the VW engines. We are thinking about the V8 350hp version. We only don't believe that the Bravo sterndrive they use is strong enough to handle the torque. That is why we still use the Volvo Penta D6 370hp engines with their own sterndrive.

As I understand it Barrus and Yanmar only go up to 315 with the Yanmars with a Bravo X with leisure use, Swipewipes has the Steyr 280 in it with XR's for racing and I would always go with XR's over 315 hp in any application - All IMHO of course.

I have a Cobra 7.5M and am very pleased with it, totally reliable so far, fitted with a 200HP yamaha two stroke. Handles rough and smooth well, I think the best bit about is is the excellent seats, double seat up front with independant arrangement so driver can stand and person next to them can sit. Bolster seats they are called, very comfortable. Lots of sun lounging potential, lots of storage, perfect for a fast blast or a leisurly day stopping and having a beach picnic.
