In search of the sun...

Dear Forum,

Please can you help me out. I believe that today (if not before) I have become totally fed up with the 2012 British Summer. I very much hope that it is dry for the Olympics when the World is watching, but a week of good weather in March really doesn't do it for me, I have to bail out for a bit, before I bail out the house!

So the question is, where can I go in Europe, towing the boat with good cruising, easy access to the water (I have the ICC, VHF etc etc) to camp, with my wife and two boys 8 and 5 for 2'ish weeks?

Your wisdom, as always would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Silverfox

We'll be out in Normandy 2-22 August, but I suspect the weather could be similar
The Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany is supposed to be spectacular, though I've never been, but you're still subjct to Atlantic weather. Failing that it's the Med, with a long drive & still dodgy weather.

Here you go, its on the Costa Brava, has its own slipway and river access to the sea and beach. Boating is excellent, lots of Calas and beaches.

Its a full days drive from Dover, but well worth it.

The best of the British summer starts at the latter end of August mainly on the west coast of Scotland.

Everybody must have had the same idea as there is very limited avalability

North Wales it is then, and the weather WILL get better.
