Im not sure just how fast it will go - Ive read an artical that talks about 63 knots in the rough and 70 in smooth conditions !
Id better start saving now for the fuel bills.

I must admit it does look rather splendid. Have a dearch through forums for essential kit which will give you an idea of what stuff you will now need to buy. And its worth it doing powerboat level 2 training, VHF and first aid as a starter. And if you really get into it day skipper theory night school is a good way to get the navigation theory you may or may not need under your belt.
Weather is good in south this weekend and next week. were all looking forward to more pics and videos.

You're unlikely to find a lake that will be much use for a boat like that!
I'd recommend a couple of days coaching with Neil Holmes in Southampton. He'll be able to show you how to get the most from the boat, and how to keep yourself out of trouble. It will cost you a few hundred quid, but it will be a good investment.

Without trying in any way to be patronising- arrange a few days training with a coach, not just RYA 2, it will pay dividends.

Thanks for all the advice, especially about the insurance. Ive done my Powerboat 1 & 2, but some more specific training on my actual boat sounds like a good idea. Also a weekend spent on this forum getting together a list of things I need is next.

Any links to info on these boats - look interesting. Can only find the South Africa website. Do they cause any issues for trailers - work same way as normal roller trailers or do the have raised central bunks/rollers?
