Ramsgate is £1.20 / li now which is the reason i own 10 jerry cans!

Eastbourne always seams reasonable, only a few pence above garage prices.

I don't think any of us mind paying a premium of a few pence per litre, it's the fact that we are often paying 25% more.

Lymington Yacht Haven - 104p and 99p above 100 litres. This is the only product or service that isn't a rip off price in Lymington, especially including the £118 per season launch pass for Bath Rd slip.

The last time there was a rapid rise in petrol prices, Lymington Yacht Haven were cheaper than forecourt garages for a while... until their next delivery!

That's interesting Simon - Cobbs Quay used to be cheaper than Port Hamble. I wonder what has caused the turn around?

Mind you, MDL did have a change of MD I would guess a couple of years' ago. John Watson was a good guy who made some worthwhile changes and brought the fuel prices down during his tenure, but it looks like a return to "traditional" MDL pricing.

Perhaps it's as well that I will be able to trail "Quick One"!

Chris.

Chris, the fuel prices in both islands went up this morning and are as follows:
Guernsey: Petrol 64p
Diesel 49p
Jersey: Petrol 65p
Diesel 55p

Don't be fooled, here is some food for thought!!

In Jersey:

Food costs twice the UK

The bare necessities in Jersey cost nearly twice as much as in the UK.

Over the past five years the cost of food has doubled but the good news is that prices have lowered over the last year.

However a pint of milk still costs 60% more, bread, tea and eggs have doubled and meat costs a sixth higher than the UK.

And to add fuel to the fire the cost of petrol has increased ten times faster.

Rent has also risen twice as fast over the last five years.

Chairman of the Consumer Council Deputy Alan Breckon says they are studying the figures carefully.

There you have it - its all relative really

Try buying a house though

Unleaded was 58p when I filled up a couple of days ago, could've gone up I suppose.
