I think that "Hyperlon" is just HYPALON spelt incorrectly!

Google has a good answer... "Did you mean: hypalon"

hyperlon could also be some manufacturer trying to convince you that their inferior pvc product is something that it is not , as with hypatex and hypatext

Just to clarify, when somebody refers to Hypalon fabric, this is strictly incorrect. It should be refered to as "Hypalon Coated Fabric". Hypalon is the registered trade name of the Du Pont company, and it is Hypalon, which is then coated onto a base fabric of either Polyester or Nylon. And yes, Solent tubes are made from Hypalon coated fabric.

Christopher is correct. Hypalon is an outer coating of a tube. A tube is made up of many layers, but as Hypalon is the one we have contact with, its easiest to describe the tubes this way. The alternative is PVC. The Hypalon is bonded over several layers including Neoprene and Polyester. I'm pretty sure that Hyperlon is a mis-spelling of Hypalon.

Hope this helps,
Robert

Don't forget PU (polyurethane) is an alternative too!
