Humber Sports Pro 1000

Does anyone here have one of these?

I really like the look of them and would be interested to hear an owners view....

Saw it last year at Ribex and thought it was great, at last a "sexy" Humber.
It is based on the Offshore hull which is very well respected. I am sure Quinquari will give you their views on the hull. I have had experience of the 9.5m version fitted out to a much heavier weight than the sports pro and fitted with twin Suzuki DF250s and it was a fabulous sea boat, very dry in the "lumpy stuff". A test drive out of Hull into the North Sea might be the answer !!

They are also advertising a new leisure pro 650/780 on their website that looks quite tasty.

As I understand it the Leisure Pro is the same hull with a slightly more conservative interior fit, something between the Sports Pro and the original Offshore/Ocean Pro.

Ah, I didn't realise that none were actually out on the water just yet.

I'm considering a larger rib for next year, a twin engine might persuade me to try a bigger sea trip. The Humber should be, particularly at 10m, quite a smooth ride shouldn't it? I liked the look of it.

The Leisure Pro doesn't look a big enough leap from my current Rib to make the investment worthwhile.

I'm still pondering about a cuddy arrangement, but can't really see me ever sleeping on a boat.

having had a 8m Humber it is an interesting set up; In the past , and quite fairly Humber have been a bit agri but the hull is in my opion one of the best

I really want a cabin rib so this does not qualify but someone will have a lot of fun if (as the reports suggest) the hull is the evolution of the Humber range

I took mine through some serious squeaky bot stuff and it was superb thank you charts destroyed no visibilty because of green water but the boat saw us through-note no wide beam generally and fine entry

I would buy this boat and keep it in the Med in Nice where I have an apartment;I am not so keen that I need to but if you are logged in Humber and fancy a jv let me know

I demo'd it for them last year and this. Ocean pro hull is simply outstanding. Straight thru rough stuff with no fuss/slam whatsoever. Same size as we used on a windfarm a few years back but that one had a ***** great cabin and twelve seats in it but served us well thru the winter in the Irish Sea which isn't noted for being very forgiving.
Twin 300s sound is awesome. Only problem was brain keeping up with the speed.
