Mike's a star with v reasonably priced work. Nice to have someone who knows what he is doing working on the boat. Also very kindly drove it up to SIT for further work. Saved us a 4hr round trip! Cheers mike. Beers owed in Conwy on 19th!!!

How did you get the hull looking so shiny

Any special tips, other than elbow grease, need to do mine in a couple of weeks

Tip 1: take it to mike Whitham! Lesson endeth.

It'll depend on your status quo.

Ours:
It's just been scraped back to the gel coat then keyed and painted with primer and anti foul. Not seen it in the flesh yet but pics look good. Nice and smooth. Not shiny though but that's to be expected. As mike can get boat up and off trailer it means he can do a far better job than we could rollering on new anti foul each year whilst on it.

Just international anti foul! But obviously put on properly unlike when we used to do it

Once SIT in Preston have stripped off the extra strake on the underside, sorted the seams, teardrop on one side and tape, refitted all the protective strake on the rear underside of the tubes, then cleaned them up it's going to look mint!

Should have work in progress pics if that too.

Cracking job by Mike who knows his stuff and is such a nice guy!

Paul, looking at the photos of the hull in its original condition maybe this is the reason why your rib has been getting slower over the years (seem to remember you writing about it somewhere).

Think you will need to do some speed tests when all the work is done to see if your top speed improves but you might not catch me on the Ribeye

You're not wrong, combination of rough hull and water being caught on the starboard rear quarter tape/join.

Though right at the end of last season it had actually come away and the old man only got 25mph at WOT!!! LOL Chris said the teardrop too had come away which attache the cone, so water filling the cone I guess too. All be sorted soon.

Nope, may not catch your rib eye, though our 2.5L V6 2stroke opti might give your 4 smoke a good run for your money! We had 52mph once.
However the Humber OP is a fair match for most other hulls of the same size in rough weather, especially with the oversized tubes we have. See you in the falls!!!!!
