Humber question?

Hi All

Im currently looking for a replacement boat and used Humbers keep cropping up! Were there ever any years when build quality was suspect or questionable? Also I have not looked too far into it but why do they now offer to 'Sell' extended warranties when other manufacturers have them as standard? Not a very good advert for their product surely!

Any advice welcomed
Hector.

I'd be looking at an Osprey or a Ribtec/Ribcraft

Basically Im after a second hand boat around 15k. 5.8-6.0m, prefer 4 stroke yamaha or suzuki wont consider anything with high hours, with trailer and hopefully underfloor fuel tank. boat to be used for diving and hopefully some long distance trips around the west coast of Scotland. Must have trailer.

You'll be needing a trailer then?

If you could dig a little deeper, Bedajim's Vipermax is a stonker. It has £4k worth of electronics.

That boat just oozes class, have to say I think that's a fair price too looking at what else is in that price range.
If only

Yes if you've got that kind of money find the rest and buy bedajims boat, apart from the fact it's very well specced it's also been put together by a very clasy engineer

I'd buy it but I can't afford it presently.

Re Redbays they wouldn't be my first choice of boat but theres nothing wrong with them. I don't think I've ever said anything negative about them. Here come the quotes!

Agreed it is a damn fine boat, I'd be gutted if it was me having to sell it due to work commitments

...unless I had a cunning plan up my sleeve for next year that is

Yeah trailer is important ! So important I subconsciously mentioned it again! I like that boat a lot but would need to find the extra 4 k and something a bit more utilitarian would maybe suit better! I have just sold a searider after all!

cheers for all the advice!
