if you were thinking of spending 7.5K for new Ribcraft, you would be able to get a recent age and cherry condition SR4 for that money
plus a 40 or 50hp OB.
I have had 29 knots with a Yam 40 2 strk on mine, but in flatter waters I think there is another three or four knots to be had out of her.

Ah! But it will, but slowly. As the boat flexes in use, both hull and deck, so the foam cells become crushed and let water in. Lots of Dory type boats have had problems like that.

Was looking at the Ribcraft but would have to get a loan!
The SR4 looks ok and is cheap enough that it wouldn't matter if it took some damage on its mooring.
Any ideas what it would be worth?

I own Humber Assault 5 metre in Anglesey. i copes with heavy seas fantastically and i often carry eight. the engine is a yamaha 70 with which i wake board with no problem.
