Humber

I had the leak that appeared at the transom of my Assault fixed under warranty by Humber. I have to say I was impressed by the service as within three days of me telling them it was done. They not only turned it around withing a few hours so I could get back home the same day ( I live 350miles from them) but the added some extras to the boat FOC for the inconvenience.
Well done Humber ( and I had a look at an Ocean Pro while I was there so may be starting to think about buying a bigger boat now, damn)

Good the lady fecker have improved their after service skills since we had our Humber, we just got their longest finger up. Glad the lady has changed her policy.
Thumb up.

Well, hardly! 700 mile round trip... a full day travelling... either a day lost from boating or a day off work... who made the effort, really?

(PS. I'm pleased you got your boat fixed).
(PPS. Bogi - I had to check which is my longest finger )

I am not saying it wasn't inconvenient or annoying, just that I couldn't complain about the service as they did the work no problem and the extras fitted to the boat would have cost me more than the fuel did to get there and back by a long chalk.
While of course I would rather there hadn't been a problem I can't really complain about how it was handled.

Oh good. Pleased to hear you're satisfied. May I ask what extras they fitted or is that PM material rather than general forum information?

It is good when people come to senses and realize how important good service is and happy customer. We went to the factory ones to discuss the matter (with our SAR Humber) with the "Queen" and her brother in peace as we thought but within 15 minutes the meeting was over with no results (for those who know me I am not easy person to upset and I have extremely long temper fuse).

ps. Richard you keep your center finger straight up and others are bended then you will see for sure your longest finger.

Hi Rupert

Good to hear that Humber did the good service.

By the way, what did you think about the Ocean Pro? Could you tell me something about the hull shape and the tube height compared to Assault?

The tubes were higher from the floor and the bow has a high sweep upwards. Hull was much deeper V and the internal width was larger.
All in all a boat that looked as if it would much more comfortable in a big sea that my Assault is
