Hull protection with wheels

Hi,
On a French forum someone suggested putting a removable wheel of some sort onto a transom for launching from slips with only a slight slope. The advantage being that the trailer brakes wouldn't have to go into the water. It would just be used to protect the hull so that the trailer will be 1 meter further up the slip.

Has anybody here already done such a thing ? Has it already been discussed here ?

Here are a few photos of something that has already been put together :

What do you think ?
