Bruce, the damage on ours is almost exactly the same as yours, in the same place.

We'll get it repaired sometime soon, may try the place yours is being done at.
Just a bit of a pain for us to pull it our the garage and tow it 2 hours down to someone who will repair it.

We just got unlucky, its not a particular problem with any harbour, just the fault of that Cobra for not tieing your boat up tight again.

Simmons0,
Scott Braye of rib repair is doing Bruce's and he is mobile so he may even come to you, alternatively his workshop is in Brockenhurst.

Ben
You do actually need a painter that big so it can get caught in both the props.

Cut your painter and use the spare as a spring. There is nothing more irritating than hearing the 'words I told you so' in a Welsh Accent

That's novel, using a compass as a fender.

I'll put that down as a third lapse.

Knew there was a reason for having it that length...

If I let it get caught in the props.. by the time its cut away etc... it will be the right length... so maybe I should just wait

Also, I might get a compass for a fender to...

Been drinking tonight Stu?

I'm sorry but this was foreseeable and very preventable. IMHO the organisers should have put some preventative measures in place.

On the several photos, just out of shot was my RIBTEC 585 with a ball fender over the bow to prevent this! It appears that some people assume that the sponsons on a rib are actually fenders, very expensive fenders at that. I get very p@ssed off with people thinking they can tie their gin palace up to the handles on my tubes or just bounce me out of the way.

It is quite appaulling that such cr@p expensive mooring was provided for this event but in defence of the organisers, the event was a disapointment so one should not expect that the berthing would be good!

Bruce...I saw this and thought of you

A front bumper fitted to a very tasty coastline rib.
The fabricator concerned said he could fit one to most boats.
