How old is yours ?

Hi to all the forum members I am new to the forum but not new to rhib's
Had mine for a long while now ..I have a Avon adventurer 1998..

The question is ...

How old is your rib ?
I have heard of some used weekly that are 20 years old .

My SR4 is 1983 and used most weekends throughout the year.

i tend to do things bit by bit

Think mine used to carry some old git with animals in pairs!

Is this a vessel you have been rebuilding yourself ?
do you have any pictures.
I am very interested in any rib construction.

i've got my old avon searider in for service and bits, we were talking over the weekend how old it was, we reckon that it's over 24years, i rebuilt it close to 10 years ago and put an inboard in it, the old girl still does 55 mph, lovely old thing

Mine was made in 2003, however left undercover in a barn for 5 years, the engine only had 77 hours on it when I bought it, which was about this time last year, A lot of people comment saying how nice it is, and it looks brand new!

1984 Built. Original toobs (and it shows!) It's had at least 4 engines I found traces of under the paint & antifouling.

Hi Sonar - welcome to RIBnet - Our Searider has a 1995 plate - all original - was told it was used as a lobster boat in its early days so console and jockey seat added in 2000 - we are the third owners (apparently).

She seems in very good condition considering her age
