How much fuel did you use RIOW?

So, how much fuel did you consume going RIOW then at the weekend?

I'm still new to my boat, but the floscan says I used 108 ltrs. and did c66miles. So 1.6 ltrs per mile.

Engine is 2 stroke HPDI 250 on a 7.2m old ballistic. Seemed to be cruising most of the time 25-30, with a few blasts upto c50 knts.

Does that sound about right?

I'd be keen to know what you got out of yours .......

Mark

5.4m Searider with Yamaha 60 Four stroke. Cruised around 18 / 20 knots and travelled just under 60nm. Used just under 30 litres.

I have no idea, cant really accurately measure how much used, fuel guage is just a simple analogue type, a lot is all I can say, Poole round isle of wight and back against the tide.

We couldn't make the McMillan jolly but we nipped round yesterday morning, 2 hours running time, averaged 25 knots and I recon 160 ltrs of fuel. Strong tides this weekend and St Catherine's was interesting lol

Though I no longer live on the IOW my fuel figure for my F70 Yamaha work out at 3.5km per litre at 40kmh (cruise speed) on a zodiac 550 tour. So would of been around 30lt.

Na, not slipping. Just needing more revs at cruising speed, acceleration and hole shot was real fun though which probably accounted for the extra juice
