How much do you pay a year?

Unfortunately my free bit of hardstanding has come to an end and I need to find somewhere to keep my boat.

Ideally another place free would be best for me but Penton Hook Marina in West London can only offer me £800 a year for hardstanding .

Perhaps I've been spoilt for too long but that seems a lot of money for West London.

Its now got me thinking how much people pay on the south coast itself and should I just forget about London and go for Lymington or something.

If people can give me some ball park figures for their secure storage site I would be grateful. I'm not after a berth only hardstanding and a slip. (Racking doesn't interest me as I then need somewhere to put a trailer!)

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Chris,

I can get you parking at Datchet Water on the M4 nr slough for a lot less than that. Easy tow west, or round the 25 and south to the coast. 20mins from the upper thames. PM me if you're interested

Yes and I've already had my 6.7m Delta vandalized there!!!

Local Pikey kids try to start the boat, set off fire extinguisher, stole nav lights etc etc.

Not going there again!

Chris,

Sorry mate, i didn't know that was your boat! You'll be pleased to know that Thames water took that very seriously, and there is now much better fencing, a huge entrance barrier even when the gates are open, and more CCTV.

Said kids also got nicked by the Anti-terrorist police about a week later trying to climb the fence.
