Ian,

Its probably 1 in my case. Taking fuel costs for running the boat, plus also 2 hours towing and the fuel costs associated with that. Then theirs slipway fees and landing fees. Plus I also like to have a decent meal whilst I'm out and a couple of drinks. Soon adds up. But isn't everything expensive in this country ?
Possibly only the Americans and our Channel Island friends get a cheaper run. I'm not always convinced life is cheaper in every foreign country.
For instance I am considering going out saturday. Launching fees at my chosen site are £10. Then the council want £9 so I can park on a bit of muddy ground. That exorbitant parking fee annoys me. Its the reason I only launch from that site when I'm forced to.

Hours vary greatly between boat and usage.

I know this is a RIB forum but think of it like this, a cruiser might spend 5 hours engine running time to get to a destination a RIB would only take 100hours.

Some RIB's are fast, some are for cruising. My 120 hours are going at an average of 30knts on a Panther 19 SC, which is for sale... Click here... www.url.ie/289

Holy crap! Are you mega rich or something?

I use about 25 litres per hours, so 125 x 25 = 3125 litres

Which is about €2250, quite affordable!

This season I've done over 1000nm!

On the petrol front I dread to imagine how much fuel we've bought!!

Its all on a charity and leisure basis not commercial so I don't think thats bad going!!

I've also got 11,000 Nectar points!! Kerrrrrrching!!

Chris
