how long does it take to go from Largs to portavadie

had a look at google maps and I am wondering how long it takes to go from Largs marina to portavadie

Depends on which way you go, direct route is about 75 mins at (my very relaxed cruise speed) 22 knots. If you go via Kyle's that adds about 30 mins but it is worth it.

BTW do you know you can put markers on Google maps to calculate distance? Just right click mouse and add one and plot your route.

ta just tried to book poartavadie spa it fully booked bugger any where else up there that does decent grub and digs

Tarbert is best place for lunch, there is a cracking lunch place at the fishing berths.

You could try otter ferry but phone and see if the pontoon is out at this time of year. Also be very careful of the sandbar up there, someone in our party hit it last time up there so stick to the channel near it.

As for digs, would need to call around as never stayed there, just come home each day and pay overnight berth and go out next day.

Grid reference finder is good for plotting routes with a measuring tool gives ordinance survey maps , position etc in a drop box just for info might be of help oh and you can print out all your route.

Nice one bud, let us know where ye go and how it was, always nice to have options for a meal when out.

BTW if you are going to Portavadie there is another resteraunt and I think it has a hotel at the ferry terminal, it is about 200 yards out the back of the marina. Not sure of name but Google would yield it I guess.

We were turned away when we went there. I suspect it is only for breakfast for hotel guests.

I've had a meal in it twice and never stayed there. I am not talking about the cafe type thing, it is next to that and just as posh looking as portavadie marina?

Looked out the window and figured I was going to be soaked by the time I got the trailer prep'd and hitched up. Should have dealt with it Friday night but went out for dinner instead.

we were working and got soaked next weekend looks like a topper on the long range forecast
