I do actually like horses, and am wondering how many lovely old Shires I would need to move the RIB around on its trailer and recover it up the slip at the Camber?

Nasher.
Let me know how many you want but it'll cost to bring them down
and no problems with them going into the water they love it

There was an interesting report on a Buffalo TV station I saw the other night. The station bought two Ford Escapes... one a hybrid, the other regular... and gave them to two camera guys. The hybrid cost about $5000 US more.

After a year of driving, the vehicles had very similar mileage on them and the hybrid only averaged a mile per gallon more.... minimal savings in fuel, and a net loss of money. They made mention of the fact that both vehicles were used almost entirely in the city and that the drivers had similar driving habits...

What they don't tell you is that whilst the customer pays about $5,000 more for the hybrid the true cost is far more than that. The makers take a big loss on every hybrid they sell as it makes their company look "green" and as if they are doing good things. The Pious for example should be selling for DOUBLE what people are actually paying for it!!!

Oil will never run out - it will just keep on getting more expensive!!!

I am glad you didn't mention wind power - Shell have just pulled out of the Thames scam and more and more people are realising that even with the subsidies they aren't viable.

I agree on wave/tidal power though - as long as it's done right with proper massive projects like the Severn Barrage!!!
