I am not trying to sell you a rib just trying to establish how much over the odds you guys are paying especially since you have such a little choice.

I thought I saw some documentation when I bought my surplus hull that the US government paid $150-200k for a new Zodiac/Willard. Something like that sticks in my broken brain.

I sell worldwide. on Tuesday I have a 9 mtr rib leaving from Hamburg to St Vincent. 2 more will follow early next year.

Next week also 2 x Parker 800 weekend boats are off to Japan and two to Australia

I do not see the west coast of the US a problem. probably will be expensive . Our forwarder does all the arrangements. perhaps by sea to Florida and overland to the west coast

drop me an email what you have in mind

Too much for a 7 mtr rib. most probably with a large Cummins which takes up half of the deck space and a console and seats which I would not want on any of our ribs. as I said you guys over there have a little choice

A brand new Cummins/outdrive package is $50,000-$60,000 installed in a new 7m Willard (per their old GSA contract)

Is that the QSB 5.9 or 6.7?

Can't you get the Mercury Diesel 4.2 320 /350 HP or for twin installation say the 2.0 170 HP with Bravo 1 drive

remember that any government prices here are ridiculously inflated. It's not free market, it's public works. defense purchases like that border more on keeping people employed that getting the best deal.

Willard doesn't list a price for the Merc's since they don't feel that they aren't "robust" enough for a commercial application.

yes, but you guys do not want a Willard for commercial work

We fit within reason what the client wants that means we only try to fit Mercury outboards or Mercury Diesel

The 7 mr Willard in size is not much different to my 750 Parker Baltic demo rib and the Mercury Diesel 4.2 320 HP with bravo one drive is a perfect package with much more deck space comparing to the Willard 7 mtr with Cummins 5.9 or 6.7

The new Mercury Diesel QSD 2.0, 2.8 ,4.2 and the TDI 3.0 & 4.2 are all DTS / Smartcraft ready as well. we have fitted many for commercial work as well with either stern drives or jet drives

It seems that Willard may not very flexible but when of if the military orders dry up I guess they will have a change of mind.
