sitting or standing depending on the weather conditions or if i am eating or having a nice cup of rosey lee.

if rough then i would expect everone stands (if boat allows) to take the shock thru the knees but if lazy and smooth then sitting is nice.

standing, bum on backrest, braced on either grab rail or sterrinng whell if helming, in moderate see at speed hold bottom of throttle and rest on throttle mounting, if rougher hold throttle on top. If you hold throttle on top, it sort of works that if you are going up fast at 45 degrees, you tend to automatically pull back on the throttle which is a good thing

I stand if it gets rough and if I’m in a hurry I lean forwards, that way I get there just that little bit earlier

If it gets very rough, I stand and face backwards because what you can’t see can’t hurt Des

Hi Tim, every time I try to spend £24k on a RIB my bank manager tells me it's not wise and that the business isn't turning over enough yet! Any time now I will ignore him and buy one anyway!

Sitting whenever possible. I must not be going out in rough enough conditions. When it does get rough I find I'm standing half the time though.

Like a careful lady driver!

Standing is my favourite...better view, feels better but after and hour or so the seat is a magnet

Standing wedged in against the backrest if rough, and also better view of lobster pots before I hit them.
Sitting if its flat calm and moreso as a passenger.
This on a rib,not much choice on a sib.

Purely dependent on conditions. Flat calm, I'm sat there, arms folded on passage, watching ahead and the instruments. Bit of sea running, stood over jockey with my bum against the back rest. Big sea stood with knees slightly bent, one hand on throttle watching the sea like a hawk. Top totty on the beach and I'm bolt upright like Fraggle Rock lighthouse!! And I stand!!

So is that with your bum on the top of the backrest, steering with your feet whilst applying the lippy?

So cheeky.

Seriously though it's murder trying to get the lippy on while wearing the helmet. At least there are traffic lights for that very purpose on the way to work.

missus lol
