How do I fix a bow eye?

I'm on the final stages of doing up this little blue RIB which I bought months ago. Anyway, the bow eye has been ripped out. How can I install a new one, bearing in mind I have no access to the inside of the hull (so I can't do up the nuts on the inside). I thought about using "toggle bolts" (the sort that open up when inside the hole) but this ain't going to work (for reasons I won't go into).

Any suggestions

hhhmmm, how was the original one installed? I guess its always good to be able to get at the fixing from behind if you ever need to replace it in the future. Can you cut another (!) hole in the deck and wack in another (!) small hatch? One of those small round ones perhaps?

Paul, it's a "Blag" Bosuns mate. 3.1m.......

Tim, I assume the original one was bolted on in the traditional manner when the boat came out of the mould and they could do the nuts up from the inside. I think another hole will be the only solution....

tim i think you will find that there is a hole thru the inner moulding in the bows under the fabric attatchment right in the bows if i remember correctly you need a deep socket on an extension to fit the bow eye .any problems give me a call on 07815 144269 .regards paul
