My copy of the........

.......Seaway Code has arrived.

In the first instance I would advise this is a very well thought out little booklet which covers a multitude of subjects across its 68 pages. For the novice it it a superb introduction to all things nautical covering issues such as, what to look out for when buying a second hand craft, how to launch and recover, equipment, safety, navigation, hazards and pilotage to name but a few.

For the more experienced boater it also acts as a super reminder of subjects perhaps forgotten or somewhat hazy. However, although it cost less than a fiver, the very same information is avalible on-line and with the advent of quality colour printers one can pick and choose what's relevant to ones own needs and print the same. That said, a fiver well spent and an addition to my nautical library.
