Thanks I'm mainly a fisherman but from reading a little on here seems like you fellas do some cool n interesting stuff with n too your boats any got anything they can teach me about the set up I've got I'll list to make it easyier
Excel xhd 385
Wheels on the back
Rod holders
Life jackets
VHF ship to shore n done course
Air pump
Water pump
Built in oars
Anchor chain rope
Compass
Yamaha f20bmh four stroke
Yamaha 25l tank
Spare fuel line
Throw rope

I've asked on the fishing forums I go on n got told here's the place to learn more so is there anything I'm missing? What do I need to know that's diff from boating? What's my set up good enough to do? I'm getting a nav n fish finder soon what would you recommend? Etc
Thanks gaz

good starting point gaz, tool kit, first aid kit, flares, PLB, spare hand held radio. a good fish-finder/chart-plotter and a good deal a couple of weeks ago on force four chandlers is lowrance elite range but its down to budget hummingbird & Garmin are ok i've had all three. there is a thread on sib kit list i tend to carry the kitchen sink just me but when the proverbial hits the fan its always that bit you dont carry.

Welcome Gareth. That outfit should go well with the Yamaha 20... is the SIB air or alloy floored? Wonder if you will be using a trailer or doing a daily setup as I do?

Regarding the nav/fishfinder have a look at this thread...

http://www.rib.net/forum/f37/garmin-...tec-69858.html

I chose a Garmin 45DV... different folks have their favourites but this unit has proved perfect in use over last year's season.
