Well it depends on where you come from and what you do TBH

For me 2010 was one of the worst winters in years .. we had frosts and snow that lasted for 4 months .. working in construction, you couldnt lay a brick or pour concrete anywhere .. Sadly the farmers get it bad in many directions, too , whether its frost , or wet.

In 2010 I remember seeing a photo from the space station that showed the whole of Scotland covered by frost and snow. That really chilled me.

I appreciate the damage and disruption that storms do, but, when you are a country not used to it, 4 months of frost almost became unbearable too

edit : the timescale was that it came down in November and didnt leave till March and when it did it dumped 18" of snow before it finally fooked orf

I shudder to remember it. I won't say to much about it but I had a hellish time at work and it cost me dearly. It was -15C here on Christmas day that year and +15C the next, some swing! It took a terrible toll on buildings.

Good and bad for me we lost a lot of work due to snow but eucalyptus have a threshold of about minus 16 and we had minus 19. So about 90% of them got wiped out in our area . Shit turnover in winter but 'snowed ' under in march April and May dismantling dead eucalyptus . Every cloud

I'm betting you still manage to get a "hosepipe ban " south of the border come summer!

Not moaning , but I'm really hoping my storage dries out enough to get the boats out. At the moment I can't even get to them with a 4x4.
