Help I Hear a sizzle

Help Needed please.
I was washing the rib today and heard a sizzle near one of the tube valves.
I poured more water over the closed valve and I could hear a sizzle coming from just above where the valve meets the tube.
PLEASE SEE PIC.
Please excuse my ignorance but I have never replaced a valve before, Can you pull apart or unscrew and reseal it ?

Never replaced one but the triangle cut outs are for a tool to tighten the valve up . I did that once and it never leaked again. You can buy the tool on the bay you would need it to unscrew the valve to change it anyway .

Sorry should of said its a leafield c7 valve wrench you need. There are none on ebay at the moment but you could google it they are inexpensive.

In the meantime you could try to nip it up a bit more by hand, I would let the tube down enough so you can grab the back of the valve through the deflated tube and using something grippie like a marigold glove on the front and try to do it up. First remove the cap and retaining strap so you dont break it.

If it does not seal then you could try to undo it, take it to pieces, thoroughly clean it, add a smear of oil to the surfaces and try again.

I have fitted a few of these valves and never used the key/spanner.

Thanks I've done some searching now on leafield c7 valves and found a few helpful how too's.

I cant seem to find anywhere close to me that sells the wrech or factory spanner.

I'm going to try by hand first as you suggest with a rubber glove for grip.
If not a call to leafield marine on monday and see if they will sell me a tool.
Funny thing is the tubes hold air perfectly and I have not had to top them up, If I had not heard the sizzle I would not have known they were leaking, I am thinking they Maybe over inflated.

Henshaws sell the tools and valve spares as well, as do the other tube manufactures

Hope you get it sorted.

On a similar theme, when I collected my Avon 560 last summer I noted that if I took the outer screw on cap off air leaked from the valve. I think this may have been caused when the guys who store it pumped the tubes up.
Is it right that the valve can be opened to let the tubes down? And could this have been done accidentally?
If so what do I need to do?

Any help appreciated as Rib is in France and I only get chance to sort it occasionally.

Thanks for that. I did a quick Google and it appears you can lock the valve open by pressing and turning. I strongly suspect this is my problem and will try it.
